Two questions:
1. Do we like the idea of this as a necklace? I guess you'd wear it over a simple t-shirt or romantic, floaty dress?
2. If you were smitten, why would you pay $62.99 at Modcloth when you could very easily buy a blazer for under $15 at goodwill and just cut off the lapel? Would a small chain be that hard to find from some broken jewelry you have sitting around? Even a trip to a craft store or buying an old necklace or bracelet wouldn't get you anywhere near 60 bucks. It doesn't seem like it would be a tricky project.
A pretty cool idea, Modcloth, but I'm surprised even you tried to get away with a price like that.

It's a cute idea, but I know how I'd actually wear it. I agree with you, though, if I wanted to give it a whirl, a DIY is definitely in order!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely weekend!
That's such a simply DIY, I bet it's already been done....
ReplyDeletebut I don't know, somethings maybe shouldn't be a necklace. I almost left the house today with a silver leather belt around my neck until I decided there was a difference between edgy fashion and just plain silliness.
The lapel necklace seems kind of silly.
very interesting! definitely will be a great diy project!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea for a DIY project. In fact, that would be even better b/c then you would be able to tell people that you made it yourself, watch them be impressed, and then feel really cool when they think you're like a genius. Lol.
ReplyDeletePS. I wanna see Pirate Radio SO FREAKING BAD! I can't believe I forgot to put it on my list of movies to see. :P
PPS. Cool header!
Of course I would diy it...but I really like the idea of it!
